I’ve played around with the Google Product search stuff (for sellers the interface is called Google Base) before and it was pretty easy to get started with. I like the way that end users can add stuff to a cart called the Shopping List. I guess it’s more like Amazon wish list tool. You can even share your wish list with people. And of course it’s powered by Google search so people can find stuff pretty darn easy. It looks like they’ve recently improved the interface some so that product listings are more user friendly too. So lot’s of nice features for shoppers. Now the seller tools are really cool. In fact, I’m going to record a screencast on this to show you how to setup up shop from start to finish. Including how to setup a data feed. One cool thing that I like is that many shopping cart programs are compatible with Google Base (The seller’s side of Product Search remember?) What this means is that when you create a new item in your website’s shopping cart, it automatically feeds it to Google Product Search. So your products are listed in both places.
